The Obituary
Stephanie Lagail Davis-Jackson, the daughter of Percy and Georgia Davis, was born on March 17, 1955 in Salem, Alabama.
“Nana” as she was affectionately called by her family and friends, attended Kensington High School. After graduation, Stephanie went to work in the field of education. She was later employed at Lewis Elkin Elementary School until retirement. Stephanie was a loving, caring and kind individual. She touched many lives, especially the children she worked with at Elkin Elementary School.
Stephanie had accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior and Lord of her life. She loved the Lord with her whole heart and was a member of New Greater Straightway Baptist Church.
Stephanie loved being a mother - she enjoyed every moment she spent with her two children Herbert and Christina Jackson whom she shared with her husband Herbert Jackson Sr. After the loss of her daughter Christina Jackson (2000), she raised her granddaughter Bria Tramel.
Stephanie loved life to the fullest, her favorite pastimes were shopping in center city, watching soap operas, and cooking.
God, the source of life, in His wisdom and love, saw fit to translate into a better life our beloved, STEPHANIE LAGAIL DAVIS-JACKSON, on November 8, 2021. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Amber Therese Jackson(2018). She leaves to cherish her memory: her son, Herbert Jackson, granddaughters: Bria Tramel and Arrionnah Jackson; grandsons: Ahmir Jackson, Hamáj Jackson, Hassan Jackson, and Haleem Jackson; 2 great grandchildren: Kamari Reese and Mahki Jackson; 2 godchildren: Lisa and Kenyatta Miller; 4 brothers: Malcolm (Charmaine), Zachery, Wayne and Richard and 1 sister: Deborah; and a host of nieces and nephews.
