Stanford Collins Broadwater Jr., affectionately known as "Snoop,” was born to Stanford Collins Broadwater Sr. and Wilhelmina Broadwater.
Snoop had a happy childhood and graduated from the Philadelphia Public School District.
In 1987, Stanford was proud to join the United States Marine Corps. He received several awards during his tenure and achieved the rank of Corporal. Stanford was deployed twice during Operation Desert Storm, and honorably discharged in 1992.
Snoop was always eager to learn, and academia came naturally to him. He continued his education and obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree from Mountain State University. In 2013, Stanford Jr. was presented as the Cohorts Valedictorian at Temple University's Center for Social Policy and Community Development. Before Stanford’s untimely death, he was employed by the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services as an Income Maintenance Caseworker and was afforded the opportunity of 100% work from home status.
At Stanford's sunset, he was preceded in death by his older sister Loretta and his father, Stanford C. Broadwater Sr. He is survived by: his loving mother, Wilhelmina Broadwater; sister, Jasmine (Ronald) Fantroyal; niece, Nequia Speaks; nephews, Amir (Sade) Fantroyal, Kareem Fantroyal, Mark Bush, David Dixon and Dimitri Bush, and a host of family and friends.
