Mario Monroe Obituary

Mario Tristan Michael Munroe was born August 5, 1989 at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  He was the son of Michael and Wanda Munroe.

Mario was educated in the Philadelphia public school system was educated in several schools, including St. Athanasius, Shawmont Elementary, Lankenau High School and graduated from Roxborough High School in 2007.

At six months old Mario was diagnosed with sickle cell disease, but he never allowed his illness to prevent him from doing the things that he loved.  He loved working with things that had an engine, and took great pleasure in taking things apart and putting them back together.  At the age of eighteen he obtained his CDL and Hazardous Materials license and worked for several trucking companies.  At the age of nineteen he completed the Pennsylvania state safety inspection mechanic training program, and held employment with Ford, Midas and Pep Boys.  His last position was with SEPTA, where he worked as a bus driver.

Mario was a joy to be around, and loved spending time with his friends and family.  He was most proud of his two daughters, Adrianna and Angelina, who he loved and cherished.

Without warning, on Friday, May 8, 2020, the Lord called Mario home.  He leaves a legacy of love and cherished memories to: his daughters, Adrianna and Angelina; girlfriend, Amanda and her son, Chase; parents, Michael and Wanda Munroe; three sisters, Betty, Marisa and Kenisha; three brothers, Mendeshia, Martin and Miguel; grandmother, Joan; seven aunts, Wendy, Kerlene, Patricia, Judy, Yvette, Pamela and Angela; five uncles, Vincent, Wayne, Kurt, Kirwin, and Wayne; godmother, Glenda; seven nieces, five nephews, several cousins, close friends, Paul, Corey, Julian, Jody, and many other loving relatives and special friends.

Mario, you accomplished everything God planned for you, especially accepting Jesus Christ as your personal savior and starting your own trucking company, Munroe Brothers Motor Freight LLC.  We will forever love you and you will be sorely missed.
