Joseph Antonio Batista was born on June 1, 1952, at Jefferson Hospital, Philadelphia, to Mr. Antonio and Mrs. Benigna Batista.  Through this union, they had three children: Niltha, Fred and Joseph Batista.  Joseph was the eldest of the three.  He went to St. Veronica Middle School. He was an altar boy on Sundays and on Holidays. Joseph graduated from Cardinal Dougherty High School in 1970.  He was quite active in Intramural sports 1, 2, 3, 4; which are sport league tournaments and competitions held within one university.  He invested in playing baseball and football.

Joseph was a hard worker, and earned his driving license at the age of 16, and shortly afterwards bought his first car.  Joseph worked as a chef at the country club for many years. He enjoyed the challenges which came with the job.

Joseph was awarded the Lifeline Award in 1997, and then again received such honors after 5 years of Service while working at Reimbursement Technologies, where he was employed until retirement.

Joseph met his present wife, Dean Caromea Jackie Batista, Ph.D., and were together for 48 years.  They were married on November 25, 1979. Through this union, Three Children made their appearance: Caromea, Corinthia and Joseph, Jr..    Joseph also had two sons from a previous marriage: Eric and Brian.

Joseph felt a strong desire to continue his education.  He attended and graduated Jameson Schools of Ministry and Theology, where he earned a diploma  on June 7, 2006, in the study of Biblical Theology.  He was Ordained into the Ministry through International Ministerial Fellowship of Jameson Evangelistic Association, Inc, on June 13, 2004.  He continued his studies and earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Theology Degree from International Christian University, Chesapeake, VA on June , 2006.  He further earned his Master of Arts in Biblical Theology the same year.  Joseph kept up the pace in his studies, and on June 3, 2007, Joseph earned his Doctorate of Theology Degree.  He was honored by the University to receive and honorary Doctorate of Sacred Letters on July 24, 2021.  His final accomplishment academically was his earning his Doctor of Philosophy Degree in June 2021.
