Harold Finney was born on October 17, 1953 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was some of the late Sadie and Therman Finney.
Harold graduated from Benjamin Franklin High School in Philadelphia. He then enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1971 where he served as an officer until he was honorably discharged in 1973.
On June 15 1982, Harold welcomed his one and only child to the world, Rasheeda Finney.
Harold held several positions throughout his lifetime, most notably he worked as a laborer with the Philadelphia Water Department and as a counselor with the Fresh Start Foundation.
In his spare time, Harold loved spending time with family and friends. He had a affinity for music, particularly jazz. He was a stylish dresser and known for his love of hats and shoes.
On Wednesday, March 22, 2023, God in His infinite wisdom called Harold home, as he is preceeded in death by his mother Sadie Finney, Father Therman Finney, two sisters, Catherine and Odessa, one brother Aaron, and a long time Friend Cynthia “Peaches” Middleton.
He leaves a legacy of love and cherished memories to: his daughter, Rasheeda; three grandchildren, Nadira Brown, Nasir Finney and Amir Pugh; one stepdaughter, Brandi Miller; Nine siblings, Jennette Everette, Eleanor Douglas, (Larry), Therman Finney, Tyrone Finney (Valerie), Sadie Finney, Jerome Finney (Felicia), Clifford Finney, Doborah Love (James) and Florine Finney; a sister-in-law, Carol Finney; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many cherished friends.
