Edgar Christopher Wells

The Obituary

Edgar Christopher Wells Jr. was born May 17, 1943 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  He was the son of the late Lucille Cam Wells and Edgar Christopher Wells Sr.

Edgar was educated in the Philadelphia public school system and graduated from high school.  In December of 1960, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he served for eight years and was honorably discharged as an Airman in 1968.   

Edgar moved to the District of Columbia and resided in the Park Crest area of the city for more than 40 years.  He worked as both an accountant and a travel agent and was respected within his community for his public service and exemplary citizenship. 

As one of ten children, Edgar was always an active participant in family activities with his siblings, nieces, nephews and numerous cousins.  It was always a great time when they all got together. 

Without warning on September 21, 2021, God called Edgar home.  He leaves cherished memories to his last surviving brother, Marcialito Cam; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; his lifelong friends from the Crest: Pat and Lonny; and many other special friends who will always remember him as a great guy who truly cared about others.
