Diane Jordan Obituary

Diane Denise Jordan was born on January 22, 1955, to Audrey and Harley Jordan.

Diane was the eldest of three children and at times would lovingly but sternly care for her younger siblings. She was a thoughtful, loving, strong-willed and determined force.  She could be stubborn at times but sometimes she felt it was necessary. Diane was very vain and as most of you know, her hair was her pride.

Diane attended the public schools of Philadelphia and graduated from Olney High School. She then studied at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.

Diane attended services with her family and never forgot her upbringing. She continued her spiritual growth and would often write passages in her journals for spiritual reinforcement.

Diane’s employment began at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and in 1991, she began working with CATCH, a social services organization. Diane worked within the Intellectual Disability field as an Office Manager. In 2004 she worked as a Supports Coordinator at Quality Progressions continuing in the field she had grown to love. Her families and those she supported loved her. The relationships she was able to form and maintain for years are quite remarkable.

Diane enjoyed quiet nights watching her favorite shows ‘This is Us’ and ‘The Haves and Have Nots’ or reading and re-reading one of the many books in her library.  Girls’ trips were also a favorite.

By the will of God, she was granted rest on July 13, 2024.

Left to celebrate her life are her brother, Harley Jordan; sister, Suzanne Burke (Ricardo); nieces, Jacquelyn Jordan and Meghan Burke; nephews, Jordyn Burke (Kristen) and Harley Tyler Jordan; great nephew, Nollyn Burke; great niece, Myckayla Johnson; goddaughter, Zuri; and a host of cousins and friends.
