Obituary for Delzora Morton

Delzora B. Morton, affectionately known as "Dellie" was born on February 5, 1936 in Littleton, Virginia. She attended Sussex County Public Schools and later moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she met and married Buster Morton.

Delzora worked for many years at Sears & Roebuck Co. in Philadelphia & Virginia. The last few years of her life were spent in Virginia being loved and cared for by her granddaughter Makisha and her children, Clarence (Tre), Malaysia & Ajoni.

Delzora was a kind & caring person who adored her family and loved to talk and spend time with them. She was generous and always had a listening ear for anyone, even a stranger.

Delzora was an avid reader, she enjoyed crossword puzzles, cooking shows and detective movies. She was an expert gardener, and she loved to order things from her favorite catalogs. Most of what she ordered was for someone else, she was always thinking of others.

Delzora was a very unselfish person. Her last words were " I Love You All" a testament of her life. She had two children who preceded her in death, Chenza Bailey & Jereleigh Morton.

Delzora was called home to glory on Monday, December 14, 2020. She leaves to cherish her memory: two sons, Robert L. Diggs (Danet) of Maryland, Darryl Morton of Pennsylvania; six grandchildren, Robert Diggs Jr. (Cynthia) of Virginia, Shawn Diggs (Prisca) of Virginia, Makisha Banks of Virginia, Scott Diggs ( Tanea) of Maryland, Rasheed Bailey of Pennsylvania, Dalina Diggs of Maryland;  seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter, Maleah , who was the light of her life. Delzora will be greatly missed by her cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Undoubtedly, she will be missed, but we take solace in knowing that she is with her family on the other side.
