Clarence M. Jones

Clarence Michael “CJ” Jones was born to Lille Mae Crawford-Jones on May 10, 1959, in New Orleans, Louisiana. His father was Clarence E. Rome, Sr. (of Donaldsonville, La).

Clarence was educated in the Orleans Parish School System and completed his GED program at Alcee Fortier High School. 

A true worker at heart, Clarence spent many years with Cisco Food Service in New Orleans in the role of Supervisor in the Transportation division. In the early 2000’s he relocated to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he lived out the remainder of his life. During his time in Pennsylvania, he was employed with several companies including Chef Selene Catereres, Joshua’s Catering, Lou’s Ribs R’ Us, Allied Security and was a dedicated annual Election Day Poll employee.

Clarence, 66, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2025, after a short courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by daughter, Jessica; son, Clarence Jr.; grandson, Cory; sister, Gail (Earl); two nieces, Merissa, Erika; partner, Linda “Lindsay”; friend/brother Brian; and a host of relatives and friends.

He will be remembered for his happiness and his gratitude for life!
